How to Sign a PDF Document Electronically on Android devices and iOS – Guide

Offices nationwide are transitioning to digital documents, such as PDFs, for their convenience and portability. But many don’t know that they can sign these documents electronically. Most PDF readers offer a way to do this, allowing users to add their signature and reuse it if needed. With the right tools and knowledge, anyone can now sign a digital document just like they would a physical one.

No matter what system you’re on, you can sign PDF files with ease. We’ll show you how to do it from your smartphone, too.

Sign a PDF document on your Phone (Android / iOS)

Download the Adobe Fill & Sign app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to begin.

Open the app and select a PDF document from your chosen location, or import images from your gallery or take a new photo directly within the app.

To create a signature for a document, click the Pen icon in the toolbar at the top of the page. Tap Create subscription and sign in the large signature field that appears. Once complete, click Done to save your signature.

Tap the pen icon to access your digital signature, then drag and drop it into the document’s signature field. You can resize it using the stretch button on its right edge.

To complete a document, users can simply tap anywhere on the screen after placement is done. Additional fields may need to be filled in, but once that’s done, the document can be shared via social messaging apps or email with the click of a button.
