How to resize windows and navigate the Cloud – Guide

Administrators can now easily modify the SKU of an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) VM with the Resize Cloud PC feature in the admin center. This eliminates the difficulty and management overhead associated with changing SKUs, as multiple types are not supported in a host pool. The feature also allows users to update their cloud PC’s hardware configuration, including RAM, CPU and storage sizes, through Windows 365.

Where is the Cloud PC resize option

Administrators looking for an easy way to resize cloud PCs may be disappointed to find the option is not available on the Windows 365 node in the Endpoint Manager admin center portal.

Cloud PC administrators can quickly and easily access the Resize Cloud PC remote action using a simple method. Alternatively, they can search the cloud PC registry, though this is more time-consuming.

Access the MEM Admin Center portal at https://endpoint.microsoft.com/.

Users can access Windows 365 by navigating to the Devices node in their settings.

The All Cloud PCs tab on the Windows 365 node provides a comprehensive view of available cloud PCs.

Users can click on the name of the Cloud PC, CPC-anoopb-2-U7, to change or resize its SKU.

Navigate to the MEM admin center portal’s Devices page and select CPC-anoopb-2-U7. Here, you can view all remote actions, including resizing.

Users can now resize their Cloud PC devices directly from the Device Overview page.

Users of the cloud PC now have the ability to choose a different size with the introduction of a new blade.

The resize sheet has been updated to include a 2vCPU – 8GB, 256GB SKU.

Press the Resize button to begin.
