This software is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.
downloading the program
To get started, download the OSFV utility from Nirsoft’s website. Choose either the 32-bit or 64-bit version based on your operating system. Then, create a folder on your desktop called OSFV and extract the files from the zip folder into it.
Using OSFV
With the files successfully extracted, double-clicking on “OpenSaveFilesView.exe” will open the program and allow you to view recently accessed files, their related information, and export a copy of what you find.
Users can quickly access recently opened documents in Microsoft Word by clicking the “File” tab and selecting “Recent.” This will open a list of the most recently opened documents, allowing users to quickly resume their work.
You can quickly check which files were recently accessed on your computer by running a utility and clicking the “Opening hours” column twice so that the arrow points down. This will show you the most recently opened files, allowing you to verify if someone was using your computer.
The image above reveals the most recently accessed files were five in total: three images, a text file, a Word document and a flash video.
A recent investigation has revealed that certain files were altered, suggesting potential wrongdoing.
To demonstrate that no files have been altered recently, click the “File Modified Time” column until the arrow is pointing downwards.
To prove that the .tif file, first Word document and FLV file have not been modified or recently accessed, select them while holding the “Ctrl” key and click the save button. Name the text document “Evidence” and save it in the same folder as the application.
Open the document to view the evidence: double-click on the file to access a full list of details.
