How To Enable or Disable Fast User Switching in Windows 10 – Guide

Users of Windows 10 can disable the fast user switching feature if they don’t need it, as it can slow down their experience by consuming system resources. This can be done through the Local Group Policy editor and the Registry.
Windows 10: Enable or disable Fast User Switching
Option 1 – Group Policy
Press the Windows key and “R” to open the Run dialog box.
To access the Group Policy Editor, type “gpedit.msc” into the search bar and press enter.

To disable Fast User Switching, double click on “HideFastUserSwitching” and set the “Value data” to “1”. To enable it, set the value to “0”.
