How to Edit Batch Images On Windows, Mac and Chrome OS – Guide
Cropping multiple photos to the same size can be a tedious task, especially when dealing with large batches. To save time and effort, review all photos at once and apply the same watermark.
Want to edit multiple photos at once? This post will show you how, no matter if you’re using Windows, MacOS or Chrome OS. While each platform has its own native tools for making simple modifications, there’s no built-in way to edit multiple images simultaneously. To do so, you’ll need to use a third-party solution.
For those looking to edit photos without spending a dime, we recommend free software that can get the job done.
Batch Editing on Windows
GIMP users can access the File menu by opening the program.
Choose Batch Image Manipulation from the list.
Users should click the “Add” button under the “Manipulation Set” window.
Choose an option from the list that appears.
To add another manipulation to the set, click the Add button again.
Press the Add Images button beneath Input Files and Options to select the images you wish to edit in bulk.
Choose a destination for your files.
Start batch editing by clicking Apply.
Batch editing on MacOS
To use PhotoScape X’s batch processing feature, click the Batch option in the menu.
To add images to your project, click the blue “plus” icon next to Add Folder on the left.
Drag images you want to edit up to the top center window for easy access in your image gallery.
Users can choose from a variety of image handlers to apply to their images before exporting them, such as the GIMP plugin.
Exporting modified images is as easy as clicking the Save button.
Batch Editing on Chrome OS
Chrome OS users must rely on the BIMP plugin and Linux-based GIMP to batch edit photos, unlike Windows and MacOS which offer native capabilities.
Ubuntu users can access the Instant Version of BIMP from the Software Center, or other software markets. Alternatively, they can download the flatpack build from Gimp.org. However, before installing BIMP, they must first use Gimptool to create it.
For those with limited computing experience, editing photos can be a challenge. To make the process easier, use web or Android-based apps that offer batch editing capabilities. This is a much simpler approach than trying to do it manually with Linux.
