How to Fix ‘iPhone is Stuck Sending E-Mail’ Issue – Guide
Users of iOS devices can customize their email experience with a variety of options and add multiple accounts to the same app.
Upheld’s iOS Mail app supports a variety of email services, including Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, AOL, iCloud and Microsoft Exchange. In the last tutorial I showed how to adjust settings to get new messages as needed. However, many iOS users have reported their Mail app crashing when sending emails on their iPhones.
Restart the Mail app
Double-tapping the home button will open recently used apps. Swiping left or right can help you locate the Mail app, and swiping up will remove it from your device’s RAM memory.
Restart the Mail app and wait a few moments for it to attempt to resend emails that were previously blocked from the outbox.
Reset iPhone
Restarting your device may be the solution if relaunching the app doesn’t work.
Press and hold the Power button on your iPhone or iPad to complete the task.
To reset a device quickly, press and hold the Home and power buttons simultaneously.
Once the device is reconnected to a working Wi-Fi or cellular network, it will attempt to resend any emails that were in the outbox prior to the outage.
Manually resend emails
If other attempts to send emails have been unsuccessful, manually sending them may be the answer.
To access the Outbox in the Mail app, simply tap it.
Tap the email you need right away.
Press the “Send” button in the top right corner.
Deleting all unsent messages
Don’t fret if you’re still seeing the “Unsent Messages” alert in your Mail app despite trying every solution – there’s help.
To get rid of unwanted messages, simply delete them, compose a new one and resend.
If you’re having trouble deleting messages from your iPhone or iPad, try turning on AirPlane mode to send them all to the Trash.
To delete emails, tap the Edit button and select the Recycle Bin. To keep emails, simply deselect them before discarding.
Swiping left on individual emails in Outbox will remove them.
